Spine-Chilling New Release from Juli D. Revezzo – ‘Sing a Mournful Melody’

I’m pleased to welcome Juli D. Revezzo and her latest release, Sing a Mournful Melody…

Where did you get the idea for your novel?

The idea for “Sing a Mournful Melody” came from a daydream about a woman (Maribelle) hearing a ghostly voice from her Victrola. As I looked into the time period in which I wanted to set the story (1901) I found a phonograph developed by Alexander Graham Bell called a Graphophone. It’s a version of the record player that people don’t seem to know much about, so it drew my interest. The story of Maribelle’s beloved composer husband, and what becomes of him, blossomed from there.

What book have you read that you wish you would have written?

Oh, I wish I’d written “Rime of the Ancient Mariner”, or Virginia Woolf’s To the Lighthouse. Barring that it would be great to know Coleridge or Woolf, I think. 🙂

What’s the main thing that you could get rid of in your life that would give you more writing time?

I hate to say it, but social media. That’s the biggest time suck in life these days.

What’s your favorite book of all time and why?

My favorite book of all time? Elric of Melnibone by Michael Moorcock is probably my all-time favorite fantasy novel. As far as Classics, I have to go with LeFanu’s  story from 1872,“Sir Dominick’s Bargain”  and “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner” by Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1798) as an influence on my inclusion of Supernatural elements in my work. They particularly had an influence on the genesis of my story “Sing a Mournful Melody”.

What do you want readers to come away with after they read “Sing a Mournful Melody”?

I hope they will enjoy the story. Perhaps it will send their spines. 😉 Maybe, they will even learn something they hadn’t known before.

Would you rather have a bad review or no review?

That’s a tough question. A think a bad review. For all that they sting, I’ve noticed they do boost the signal a bit. 🙂

What genre have you never written that you’d like to write?

From the first time I picked up a pen, I have pretty much always experimented across genres. However, I would like to try my hand at a historical novel. In fact, I’m working on a Gothic romance right now, so it’s a distinct possibility I may tick it off my bucket list eventually. 🙂

What is your favorite…

Movie: I’m a movie fan, so there are many. Room with a View, Excalibur, Enchanted April, Pan’s Labrynth, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy…I could go on, but I won’t bore you. 🙂

Music: I enjoy a wide range of music—Rock, blues, heavy metal, classical, some new age, even some alt-country. Johnny Cash rocks, Elvis is good too. 🙂

Place you’ve visited: South Carolina.

Place you’d like to visit: Italy or Ireland.

TV show from childhood Beauty and the Beast and Isis.

TV show from adulthood: I loved Gilmore Girls. Currently I’m obsessed with Once Upon a Time and Sleepy Hollow.

Food: Italian

Sports team: I must admit, I don’t pay attention to sports.

Which do you prefer: Board games/card games or television? I do like a good game of Monopoly but I must admit, I veg out in front of a movie on the DVD player more often than not, these days.

Thank you for joining me, Juli. Some very interesting information. I agree about the bad reviews. Uh, and you know I liked that you mentioned Elvis in your list of music 😉

Juli would like to ask readers a question now…

Who is your favorite Gothic heroine?

singmournfulsm

Blurb:

At the turn of the 20th century, tragedy has left Maribelle grief-stricken. After her beloved husband is murdered, his body disappears from his crypt. Worse, ghostly voices call from the widow’s Graphophone. Is she losing her mind, or does something wicked this way come?

Excerpt:

Maribelle, Maribelle. The words rang from the Graphophone in the corner, its needle humming across the short cylinder.

A shudder crept over her skin. Maribelle frowned and berated herself. Of course she was alone. How could she have expected otherwise? And yet, the voice gave her pause.

She couldn’t remember any song that mentioned her name, couldn’t remember having left the Graphophone running. Certainly not in so short a time.

“By God,” she said approaching the Graphophone, intent on shutting it off, “how could you let that thing scare you?”

“Maribelle,” the disembodied voice of the Graphophone said, deep and different now, “I know what you would do. You wish to die.”

Maribelle gasped and halted in her tracks. “How could you?”

The voice continued, oblivious to her question, “I have another suggestion for you.”

She flicked the switch on the side of the Graphophone’s case. “Be quiet, won’t you? I can’t hear myself think.”

She turned toward the door.

“Maribelle,” the voice came again.

Maribelle screeched in shock and turned, heart fluttering like a nervous sparrow’s wings.

The Graphophone played on its own. Its polished nickel tone arm glowed with a gloomy blue light as its needle scraped across the brown wax cylinder.

“As I said, I have another suggestion for you, if you’d listen for moment.”

Maribelle reached toward the needle. “I will hear no more,” she said.

“No,” said the stranger’s voice. “Listen to me. The one you loved is gone forever. No one can reunite you.”

She sniffled. “I know that much, sir.”

“So all the authorities say. But what do doctors and police truly know of death?” said the voice. “They cannot help you. Perhaps I can.”

Author R.T. Wolfe and her Savage Series

Thank you, Alicia, for having me on your lovely blog. I’m thrilled to be here. Savage Deception is my new release. It is book 1 in a 5-book series (plus a short story prequel that was published in November). The Nickie Savage Series is a detective/mystery/romance and has been a complete blast to write.

And it’s a blast to read! Thank you for joining me, R.T. You know I adore your books and you 🙂 And I’m happy to have you as my guest. Our readers would like to know a little more about you…

Was there anything unusual, any anecdote about this book, the characters, title, process, etc, you’d like to share?

Oh yes, Alicia. The Nickie Savage Series as a whole morphed from a previous series. Sometimes characters are demanding and an author has to let them lead the way. The Black Creek Series involves the Savage Deception hero, Duncan Reed’s, family. Book 1 in that series takes place when he is eight years old. His uncle moves back to upstate New York to learn to be a better father. He ends up falling in love and solving a murder. Duncan and his brother grow up in Book 2. And in book 3, he meets Detective Nickie Savage. Nickie is an incredible character to write. She’s strong. She’s weak. She’s determined, smart, dedicated and a complete train wreck. The Nickie Savage Series is a more of a detective/mystery romance than the Black Creek Series and thus far my readers have loved it. It has been compared to the Women’s Murder Club Series, the Stephanie Plum Series (really? I’m not that funny — just ask my teenagers), The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and most recently J.D. Robb’s In Death Series. I’m blown away and completely humbled. I have the best readers. They are truly what keep me writing as this crazy pace – 5 books published last year and 3 this year. Tidbit about the title? Nickie changed her name when she turned 18 years old from Nicole Monticello to Nickie Savage. At the age of 15, she escaped child sex trafficking captivity and changed her name in honor of the girls left behind. She devotes her life to her police work and occasionally assists the FBI in missing person cases.

It’s amazing that so many fabulous stories came from Black Creek Burning, which was an awesome book too.

What do you love that most people don’t like and wouldn’t understand why you do?

Seasons are what first come to mind when I read this question, Alicia. I live in Illinois and completely adore fall and winter. The colors, the crystals. Cozy fires and shoveling snow. I love every season, but fall and winter are the ones that most people don’t understand why I love.

I agree. Those are my favorite seasons, too. I live in Oklahoma and we don’t get enough winter, in my opinion. But most people think I’m crazy. 🙂

What’s your favorite book of all time and why?

My favorite book is Northern Lights by Nora Roberts. The characters are diverse and unconventional. The love story is completely believable and heartwarming, and the mystery kept me reading. I think I’ve read that one three times.

What do you want readers to come away with after they read Savage Deception, Nickie Savage Series Book 1?

An escape. I wish for readers to forget where they are and find themselves tooling along beautiful upstate New York in the hearts and minds of Duncan Reed and Nickie Savage.

That’s why I love to read, for an escape. You did an excellent job of taking me away in Savage Deception.

Would you rather have a bad review or no review?

A bad review, most certainly. I always appreciate when someone takes the time to leave an honest review, and I comment on each and every one. The last bad review I received was the one that compared my books to J.D. Robb. In honor of the reviewer, she was truly angry that there were similarities. My thoughts? J.D. Robb? Squeal!

Haha, yes, I suppose ‘bad’ review is subjective, right? I agree. The world is made up of all kinds of people with all kinds of opinions, I would be suspicious if everyone loved my work. (Fortunately, I don’t have to worry about that, :))

What is your favorite…

MovieThe Notebook/cliché, I know, but what a movie!

(Cliche or no, I adore that movie!!!)

Music-The Frey, Googoo Dolls, Uncle Kracker, Callie Colbert (how much room do I have?)

Place you’ve visitedAnna Maria Island, FL. I did a week-long writing research project on the island following sea turtle marine conservationists. A-ma-zing! Book 1 in the Island Escape Series should be out this year. So dang fun.

Place you’d like to visit-Alaska. Not exactly Florida and there are no sea turtles there, but I’ve heard such amazing things about the people and the beauty. I will make it there one day.

TV show-The Walking Dead … only when watched with my teenage son. We like to high five at the especially gory scenes.

Foodanything citrus-yum

Sports teamSouthern Illinois University swim team-Go Salukis!

Which do you prefer: Board games/card games or television? Card games with family until wee hours in the morning.

Thank you for the interesting interview. Now for a glimpse into Savage Deception:

SavageDeceptioncover

Busy juggling loan sharks and Amber Alerts, Detective Nickie Savage makes time when the FBI seeks her expertise with a child trafficking ring. But when Nickie discovers that the men running the ring are the same ones who abducted her as a young teen, the case gets personal.

Risking her badge, Nickie goes rogue. Luckily, she has Duncan Reed, along with his wire tapping and surveillance expertise. But Duncan also wants to take their relationship to the next level.

Now, Nickie must choose: break her own rules and risk her heart or forge ahead alone.

Wednesday’s Want, Wed, Waste: The Vampire Diaries’ Jeremy, Matt, Tyler

Hello and welcome to my version of the game, ‘F*@#’, Marry, Kill. This week we are WWW’ing the second-fiddle hotties from Vampire Diaries.

Myself and some of my friends are sharing our Want, Wed, and Waste choices from this week’s list:

Jeremy Gilbert, Matt Donovan, Tyler Lockwood

StephenRMcQueen611113 Matt Donovan tyler

********************************************

Me (Alicia Dean). Author of two Vampire Diaries Kindle Worlds books: What the Heart Wants and Divine EnemyWhile Damon and Stefan try to control Elena’s blood-lust, the race for the cure takes a shocking detour

Want: Jeremy Gilbert. I have to be sure to focus on the character, not the actor. (I think it would be cool to be married to Steve McQueen’s grandson, if I had to be married, but the ‘character’ is not his grandson. Plus, the actor is a bit of a party animal, although he’s really fun and friendly, so he might make a good husband when he’s ready to settle down.) Back to ‘Jeremy’ – He is a cutie, with an amazing body, but he can be a pain when he goes all hunter and tries to kill Damon. Besides, he dies way too often. What kind of marriage would that be? I mean, how often can a girl be widowed by the same husband and keep her sanity? I would have to put him in the “Want” category.

Wed: Matt Donovan. He’s precious and adorable. He has had a LOT of bad luck and he needs a good woman to make him happy. He is an excellent friend, very loyal, so I think he would make a great husband. Besides, he’s one of the only humans left in Mystic Falls (Even though the Travelers have been inhabiting his body, he’s still ‘human’), and we humans have to stick together. (Unless I get lucky and Damon or Klaus decide to turn me…then bye-bye humanity!)

Waste: Tyler Lockwood. UGH! While he is definitely good-looking, I am SO done with him. He’s just a weasel, the way he keeps leaving Caroline. And don’t get me started on his betraying Klaus. Anyone who mistreats my guy (who I would definitely cheat on Matt with (sorry for ending the sentence in a preposition)), is on my SH*% list! So, Tyler, you get the ‘Waste.’ But then, it’s about time. I mean, you’ve screwed with Klaus so much, you’re living on borrowed time anyway.

********************************************

MJ SCHILLER, author of ABANDON ALL HOPE ~ It’s been eight years but he still can’t give up Hope.  Website: www.mjschillerauthor.blogspot.com

Want: Well, I can genuinely see me wanting all of them. That’s the beauty of WWW Wednesday. I’m in the driver’s seat! I’m going to take Matt as my want. He’s such a sweet character and he never seems to end up with the girl!

Wed: Easy! Jeremy, (Or Jermy, as we call him around here). SO cute and I would just want to keep him around forever. He plays the hot younger brother well!

Waste: Tyler! He’s good looking but I’ve never been able to get beyond the rich, spoiled boy he started out as when TVD first began. Plus, he’s a hybrid. You’d never know what to expect from him. Come to think of it, that could be a plus…

********************************************

Juli D. Revezzo, author of  Drawing Down the ShadesBusiness can be hell…

http://julidrevezzo.com

Want: Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig)–who doesn’t love the underdog?

Wed: Tyler Lockwood: (Michael Trevino) – He was in Alice–I mean, Malice in Wonderland and Charmed before this. Seems like that’s a good combination. Plus, think of what a good guard dog a Werewolf would make. 😉

Waste: Jeremy Gilbert – Steven R. McQueen. Seems like  a nice kid, party boy thing aside. Well? Since he’s a vampire hunter and the vampire diary characters are our heroes, we can’t root for him. So, he’s outta here this time (poor kid).

********************************************

SILVER JAMES, author of THAT OL’ BLACK MAGICWerewolves, Fae, and Dragons, oh my! What’s Sade Marquis, a human FBI agent, to do? Solve the crime, of course. Website: http:/www.silverjames.com

Want: Tyler Lockwood because…werewolf, d’uh! Warm, fuzzy, and he knows how to eat… *waggles brows*

Wed: Matt Donovan because…human. He won’t be young and gorgeous when I’m older than dirt, provided he survives all the preternatural baddies, of course.

Waste: Jeremy Gilbert because…he lost the coin toss? Well, that and his whole talking to the dead thing. How would I know if he’s talking to me or something else?

******************************************

Now we’d like to hear from you….which of these: Hunter/Ghost Talker, Human, Hybrid would you Want, Wed, and Waste?

Thanks for playing!

Chryse Wymer on Colons – Writing Tips

I would like to welcome Chryse Wymer today. She’s here to help us understand colons a little better. Thank you for joining me, Chryse.

Many thanks to the illustrious Alicia Dean for allowing me to guest post on my favorite topic: colons. I was introduced to her work through a friend who assured me that it was worth the read, and I was pleasantly surprised at the writing quality and storytelling—I’m just not much on romance books or those heavy on the romantic subplots. But I’m glad I gave it a go.

Why I’m here: this month, I’ll be hopping along from blog to blog to share my knowledge on the nuts and bolts of great writing. I am a copy editor, proofreader, and author—published both traditionally and independently. I’m also raffling off Amazon gift cards to get you started on your editing bookshelves. You can contact me at chrysewymer@yahoo.com, or, for more information, visit: http://ocdeditor.weebly.com/ At the previous site, I’ll also be keeping a list of the blogs I’ve visited and the subject matter I’ve shared. The giveaway starts December 1st and ends January 1st.

Let’s get to it.

COLONS – Part Two

The first few paragraphs below are repeated from my last post; there are reasons for that: one snippet is quite important, and the video is helpful. If you have a handle on the basics, in my opinion, it’s easier to understand the specifics. I would also urge you to read the previous post on Kriss Morton’s blog: http://cabingoddess.com/ It thoroughly details the main colon usage that a fiction writer will employ.

I want to reiterate, again, that colons and semicolons are often misused. The semicolon stops the forward movement of a statement while a colon marks a forward movement, often emphasizing it.

Colons promise the completion of something just begun.

The following video is, in my opinion, helpful in differentiating basic colon vs. semicolon use: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dU0x4Ipj-5Q There are grammatical errors in it, but the actual information on semicolons vs. colons is correct.

*See Kriss Morton’s blog for the first use of a colon. I am adding each blog stop to my own blog (as I go) for convenience: http://ocdeditor.weebly.com/blog.html

The second use of a colon is to introduce a list of items, often after the terms the following and as follows—e.g.: For the scavenger hunt, we need the following: rubber duckies, a 1997 quarter, and a bottle of calamine lotion.

Third, the colon formally introduces a fully self-contained quotation. Block-form quotations must take a colon, but if it’s run in with the text, a comma is also acceptable. E.g.: “Einstein said this about the mind: ‘If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?’”

Thank you for reading, and join us tomorrow for the final installment on colons at Alison DeLuca’s blog, Fresh Pot of Tea: http://alisondeluca.blogspot.com/ We’ll be covering a couple simple uses as well as common errors. The final installment will be lighter next time (promise).

Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock (notice I provided a little male eye candy along with the female? You’re welcome!)

Me (Alicia Dean). Author of Liberty Divided Isle of Fangs Book 2 ~

WANT: Cameron Diaz. She’s hotttt, those gorgeous blue eyes, that perfect body…sexy! Plus, she’s a great actress, and she has a fantastic sense of humor. She’s adorable! Besides, she used to do Justin Timberlake, so it would be like I was doing him too!

WED:  Sandra Bullock. In spite of her horrible choice with Jesse James, I think she’d make a good wife. She’s wholesome and sweet and extremely successful, so she’d take good care of me. And, she’s extremely attractive.

WASTE: Angelina Jolie. This woman just pisses me off. She’s gorgeous, no doubt about that, and I love some of her movies, but I am not over her breaking up Brad and Jennifer. Plus, she’s just freakin’ weird!

********************************************

M.J. Schiller, author of TAKEN BY STORM, website:  http://www.mjschillerauthor.blogspot.com/

Want: Cameron Diaz. At first I was going to say Angelina Jolie, ’cause she has that raw sex appeal, but I found another category that fit her better. Cameron Diaz is so cute. I wish I looked like her! Plus, I like her name. She seems upbeat and personable and she’d be someone fun to have a fling with, if I was a guy. But she’s been with a few too many partners to feel comfortable settling down with. Might be a red flag.

Wed: Sandra Bullock. She seems smart and doesn’t seem to be a drama queen like some movie stars. She’s pretty and seems to be fun. She actually has a lot of versatility as an actress. She plays the ditz well, (loved her in “While You Were Sleeping” with Bill Pullman), but can also play strong and sassy, (like in “The Blind Side”) or overbearing (“The Proposal”). With a promising acting career in front of her, she’d be a good provider.

Waste: Angelina Jolie.  She just seems to have a little too much crazy goin’ on!

********************************************

Kathryn Freeman, author of Too Charming,  website:   http://kathrynfreeman.co.uk

Excuse me while I put my man brain in…

Want:  Angelina.  Those lips – enough said.  She’s bat crazy and her desire to have a rainbow of children puts me off marrying her so instead I’ll put her in her Lara Croft costume and drool.  A lot.

Wed:  Cameron.  Beautiful and, yes, a bit crazy too, but she looks fun and game for anything.  I don’t think she’d have a problem throwing on her jeans and joining me for a pint with the lads.  But put her in a sexy dress and male eyeballs will roll out of their sockets.  A hot babe who likes to laugh – that’s a keeper.

Waste:  Sandra.  Through my male eyes she’s not quite got what the others have.  Not stunning enough to want.  Not warm and sexy enough to wed.  With my female brain back in, she’s been quoted as saying if she hadn’t been an actress, she would have been a romantic novelist.  Sorry, there’s enough competition out there.

********************************************

Linda Carroll-Bradd, author of contemporary western, Tie Down My Heart, website http://www.lindacarroll-bradd.com/

Want: Cameron Diaz, there’s a whole lot of attitude sizzling under that All-American exterior

Wed: Sandra Bullock, because she’s so much like the girl next door.

Waste: Angelina Jolie, although she might look sexy, her persona is too aloof, haughty

********************************************

Charlotte Copper, author of Silver Blade  website http://www.charlottecopperauthor.com

WANT:  Angelina Jolie. She’s super hot (admittedly sometimes on the skinny side, but think Tomb Raider), but I wouldn’t want to become co-parent to all those children.  Then again, I forgot to ask…will Brad be coming with her?

WED:  Sandra Bullock. My husband is fully aware that Sandra is the one female out there that I would change teams for! I have pretty much all her movies – even the not so good one. And I was totally devastated when she didn’t end up with Ryan Reynolds.

WASTE: Cameron Diaz. I have never thought much of her (acting or otherwise), and I would certainly not be willing to change teams for her.

********************************************

Jessica E. Subject, author of Never Gonna Desert You website http://jessicasubject.com

Want: Angelina Jolie – I’ve always thought she was pretty, but with all of her kids, I wouldn’t want something serious. Just a fling. And I know others don’t, but I do enjoy most of her films, especially the two Lara Croft movies.

Wed: Sandra Bullock – She seems so sweet and funny. An all aroud nice person. And I LOVE her movies.

Waste: Cameron Diaz – Sorry, but she does nothing for me. Some of her movies are funny, but I’m not lining up at the theatres for them, or anxious to rent them.

********************************************

Now we’d like to hear from you….which of these sexy women would you Want, Wed, and Waste?

Thanks for playing!

Wednesday’s Want, Wed, Waste: Historical Fictional Characters

Hello and welcome to my version of the game, ‘F*@#’, Marry, Kill. This week we are WWW’ing Historical Fictional Characters.

Myself and some of my friends are sharing our Want, Wed, and Waste choices from this week’s list:

Robin Hood, Sir Lancelot, Zorro

bestcrowe Venezuelan pole dancer Romina Dabbio per

(The Zorro franchise is pretty strict about copyright, so rather than post a pic, I inserted a link to a movie clip) Click here for a ZORRO Movie Clip (Of Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta Jones)

Click on book titles below to learn more and to be taken to a buy link

********************************************

Me (Alicia Dean). Author of Liberty Divided Isle of Fangs Book 2 ~

Want: Zorro, because of all that mystery and danger. And because, in the above-linked scene, he was soooo sexy, it made me wish I was Catherine Zeta Jones! (Or wish that I was Antonio Banderas, she’s pretty hot too ;)) I was going to say I also want him because of how fast he moves, but then I realized that might not be a plus.

Wed:  I guess Sir Lancelot so I could live in a castle. With Robin Hood I would have to live in the woods. And Richard Gere as Sir Lancelot, come on…who could resist that? Although since Lancelot was stealing King Arthur’s woman, he might not be faithful. But on the other hand, I would be ‘Wanting’ Zorro, so I guess I wouldn’t exactly be faithful either.

Waste: Robin Hood, although that probably makes me a bad person since he steals from the rich to give to the poor. But if I was married to Sir Lancelot, I would be rich, so he might steal from me. So yeah, I would have to waste him. But if he looked like Russell Crowe, I would definitely do him first.

********************************************

Jannine Gallant, Author of We’ll Never Tell (Book One in the Secrets of Ravenswood Series) FREE on Kindle!!! Oct. 16-18.  Website: http://www.janninegallant.com/

WANT – Robin Hood. Defender of the downtrodden—and too gorgeous for words. You can haul me off on your horse any day!

WED – Has to be Sir Lancelot. Let’s face it—Guinevere caused him nothing but misery. Lancelot is a tragic character, and he needs the love of a good woman to turn his life around. I’m volunteering!

WASTE – Sorry, Zorro, but you lose. I just can’t be sure what’s behind the mask and cape. The others are a sure thing.

********************************************

Kathy L Wheeler, Author of Quotable Website: http://kathylwheeler.com

Want: Zorro – Antonio Banderas. When he focus his attention on his heroine (me), I am living a character in one of my own books. YUM.

Wed: Robin Hood – I’ll take Russell Crowe as Robin Hood. He’s scary enough to keep the bad guys away.

Waste: Sir Lancelot – I hate to say that Richard Gere is a waste, but compared to the other two… there’s really no choice.

********************************************

Christine Elaine Black, Author of A Rose for Lancaster Blog/Website:  http://christineelaineblack.blogspot.ca/ ~

Want: Zorro, of course. I love a hero who can wear a cape with style and the Latin lover accent is a complete turn on. I don’t mind the mustache or the color black, so all in all he’s a ‘stallion’ in my book.

Wed: Robin Hood. He does the right thing, stands for something legit and is faithful to his lady. He’s used to outdoor living and probably knows how to throw a mean BBQ supper, and there’s always a ready supply of ale. He can steal my heart anytime!

Waste: Lancelot. He’s the least romantic one for me. Other than fall for King Arthur’s wife I don’t recall anything memorable about him except for having the guys over and sitting a ’round’ the table (haha). Sorry, but it’s good ‘knight’ and goodbye for him.

Want: Robin Hood. He looks good in tights and he’s good with a bow. That means strong hands and arms. But he has that whole “merry men” thing going on and hanging out with his buds. If the Sheriff of Nottingham came knocking, ol’ Rob would take off to create mischief. But that’s cool. He has a sense of honor and looks out for the poor but I think he’d want to hang with the Merry Men instead of staying home at night.

Wed: Zorro. Oh be still my heart. Sexy, Latin lover who likes to play at being someone else? There’s just something about a man in a mask… His love life would definitely be filled with spicy heat. He has a well-honed sense of duty and honor (are you sensing a theme here? LOL) and I bet he dances a mean tango, which is the dance of love. He might dash off to save someone but he’ll come right home, a rose in his teeth and a look of “I want you” in his eyes.

Waste: Sir Lancelot. Yeah, yeah. Knight of the Round Table, chivalrous and all that, but dude! She was married. So not cool in my book. Especially since her husband was his best friend. I don’t care how gorgeous he looks sitting on a charger, sword in hand, armor all shiny and stuff, it’s what’s on the inside that counts. And even though he sort of tried to redeem himself, it just doesn’t work for me.

Want: Robin Hood! He’s charming, romantic, and a thief with a roguish smile. A short-term adventure with him would be thrilling, but he certainly isn’t marriage material. Plus, I don’t want to live in a forest.

Waste: Sir Lancelot! At one time, I would have loved to marry him, but his affair with Guinevere ruined that dream. Any man, no matter how noble and honorable, if he commits adultery, he’s not the man for me.

Wed: Then there’s the engaging and mysterious Zorro! I want to marry this romantic, well-educated, wealthy and cultured nobleman! To be Mrs. Don Diego by day, all the while knowing his secret. Dressed in black, cape flowing behind him, wielding a sword…what can I say!  *Sigh* Did I mention he’s a superb athlete! 🙂
