  1. Title and genre
  2. From any page that ends with the digit five, such as 5, 15, 25, 35, etc. (any version, Word Doc, Print, Kindle, etc), from the 16th line, share three sentences. (You can choose to share sentences that comes before or after, if part of the sentence is on the chosen line-see example below)

If I were using line 5, I could either use the ‘Where had that come from’ line or the ‘For such a’ line, and I would use an entire sentence.

Don’t worry that the line might not be all that engaging, or that it might not make much sense. This is all for fun and to share a glimpse of you and your stories. I’ll be sharing one of my books in the comments so you can see how it’s done. 😀

Author Interview with Lisa DeVore ~ New Release: Sebastian’s Castle

I am very pleased to introduce today’s guest. Lisa DeVore is one of my Wild Rose Press authors. I had the pleasure of working with her on her debut novel, and on a handful of stories since. She’s a sweetheart of a person and a wonderful author. I love her and her stories. 🙂 Her latest is an excellent ghost story/romance. She’s here to tell us all about it, after her interview:

Please tell us a little about yourself, where are you from? Where do you live now? Family? Pets?

My name is Lisa DeVore. I was born and raised in Alliance, Ohio (about 20 miles NE of Canton, Ohio…home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame). I have been married to my best friend for nearly twenty-three years. Our oldest son, Lewie, is twenty-one, and works with his dad doing custom restoration on old hot rods and motorcycles. Our son, Cole, is eighteen and will be graduating in June, and off to college to study computer technology. And our “baby” girl, Jessica, will turn sixteen on my 50th birthday March 27th. She’s all about driving right now. We have three four-legged kids, Smitty & Wess, who are toy fox terriers (and brothers from the same litter) and my mini-pin, Chester.

Where did you get the idea for “Sebastian’s Castle”?

My hometown, Alliance, has its very own castle…Glamorgan Castle. The mansion was built from 1904-1909 and is now home to the Alliance City Schools’ administration. As a student and resident of Alliance, I’ve grown up around the castle, and have shared its beauty and history with my kids. It inspired the castle in my book, from the layout to the breathtaking chandelier. However, I don’t believe Glamorgan Castle has any secret passages. Who knows though? The ghost came naturally…what castle doesn’t have a ghost? Sebastian’s last name was, also, borrowed from William Henry Morgan, owner of the Alliance castle.
For more information on Glamorgan Castle- http://www.alliancecityschools.org/glamorgan-castle-history

Why did you choose this genre (is it something you’ve written in before)?

This is my first “ghost” story, but the suspense genre is not new to me. I have to say, it was fun to write!

Was there anything unusual, any anecdote about this book, the characters, title, process, etc, you’d like to share?

I have toured and visited Glamorgan Castle many, many times since I was a child, and know its history as well as my own, but prior to writing “Sebastian’s Castle” I took two tours. I wanted to feel the rooms, and the history. I wanted to see it as my characters, Brynn and Jax might see it, and imagine them there. Having that template for Brynn’s Mystic, CT castle made it come alive for me, and, I hope, my readers.

What is the most difficult thing about writing a book?

The most difficult thing about writing a book, for me, is time. I haven’t, as yet, experienced writer’s block. My writing takes me on dips and curves that I don’t even see coming. I have really given up on outlines, because my stories always take turns along the way, and I never keep to one. And, I may start off with a hero and he ends up the villain. I just never know!

Are there any tricks, habits or superstitions you have when creating a story?

Music. It inspires me. For each book, I have a theme song I listen to.

What book have you read that you wish you had written?

“Gone With the Wind.”

(Me too!!) Do you have another occupation, other than writer? If so, what is it and do you like it?

My day job is accounting for an electrical distributor. I work part time, and I do like it. My degree is in accounting, so it’s good to be able to use that knowledge. And I work with some great people.

What’s the main thing that you could get rid of in your life that would give you more writing time?

Absolutely, without question, social media.

What’s your favorite book of all time and why? What’s your favorite childhood book?

My favorite book of all time is the Bible. It inspires, calms, and gives hope. It has stood the test of time, and there is always something new to learn from Its pages. My favorite childhood book is “Green Eggs and Ham”. I loved that book! I read it so many times as a child, and to my kids, that I knew it by heart!

If you could spend time with a character from your book, whom would it be? And what would you do during that day? (PG-13 please 🙂

It would be Sebastian Morgan from “Sebastian’s Castle”. How cool would it be to spend a day with a ghost? I am a geek when it comes to history, and I would spend the day annoying him with questions about his life, and what it was like to live in his time.

Who is the most famous person you have ever met?

Last May, I met my favorite singer, Scott Stapp (the front man of Creed, Art of Anarchy). His life experiences are in his music, and have inspired many. He has been criticized, and persecuted in the media, but he stays true to his style of writing, and gives God the glory. He is truly a kind man who loves God, his family, and fans. It was a pleasure meeting him…and he gives an amazing concert!

Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?

Nora Roberts. I don’t believe there’s one book she’s written whose characters didn’t come alive to me. Her stories have so much depth. She is a master at putting her reader in the moment.

What is your favorite…

Movie– The Patriot
Music– Rock
Place you’ve visited- Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Clearwater, Florida
Place you’d like to visit- Salem, Mass.
TV show from childhood- The Brady Bunch
TV show from adulthood- Once Upon A Time
Food– Pizza
Sports team– Cleveland Indians!!
Which do you prefer: Board games/card games or television? Television

Love the interview, Lisa. I enjoyed learning more about you. Now, please tell us about Sebastian’s Castle…

Blurb:

Being married to a cop is hard, being the widow of one is harder. After Brynn Austin’s husband, Nate, was murdered in an undercover operation, there wasn’t enough evidence to convict the gang leader who killed him. Brynn refuses to let him kill their dream to renovate an old Connecticut castle. But her plan is hampered by a ghost who’s not ready to give up his home.

Contractor Jaxson Maddox signs on to renovate the old castle that’s sat empty for years. He didn’t believe the rumors about the place being haunted. But that was before he met the resident ghost. What Jax didn’t sign on for was trouble in the form of falling for the beautiful widow, dealing with a pesky ghost, and risking his life when a threat from Brynn’s past surfaces. He’ll do whatever it takes to protect her, even if it means becoming a ghost himself.

Excerpt:

Light shone in through the windows, but the space wasn’t any less creepy. Old cobwebs hung from the rafters, and dust particles danced in the sunlight. She hoped there wasn’t a family of raccoons, or worse, living here. Brynn pushed those thoughts
from her mind and kneeled in front of the trunk with the screwdriver. She’d never tried to pick a lock before, but there was a first time for everything.

“If you’re set on nosing around, I would rather you used the key. It’s under that pile of books.”

Brynn jumped to her feet and swung around to face the voice. She gripped tightly to her only weapon, the screwdriver.

There he stood, the same man she saw the other day. “Who are you?” She backed toward the wall, holding the screwdriver in front of her. “You’re trespassing.”

“No, my dear, you’re trespassing. This is my castle. I should be asking you the questions.”

Brynn’s eyes bugged out as she really took a look at him. His image was fading in and out. “No,” she said aloud, “it can’t be.”

“My dear, you don’t look well.”

“You’re a…” She patted her face.

“A what? I’m a what?” His face faded and returned.

“You’re a ghost!”

A titled lord, concert pianist, and … vampire, Morgan D’Arcy has everything he wants…except what he most desires…the woman of his dreams—the search is on.

Blurb:

The greatest enemy of a vampire is boredom. Four centuries of existence have taught Lord Morgan Gabriel D’Arcy to fear nothing and no one. Humans and their weapons have little chance against his preternatural speed and arcane powers. Vampires are viral mutations of human DNA. Still, the Vampyre code requires secrecy, and he has learned to hide his nature from the world. The lure of mortality, of a life in the sun, puts Morgan again and again at the mercy of calculating human women though they fail to consider his charm and determination into the equation. However, even grooming a future bride from infancy proves to be fraught with heartbreak. And second chances are not always what they seem unless… you are Morgan. Immortality and beauty, aren’t they grand?

“…Morgan…is a tour de force of egotism, wit, sensuality, and talent…” ~Author Toni V. Sweeney

“Morgan D’Arcy is a class act and the most arresting vampire I’ve ever encountered in literature or films.” ~ Historical and Paranormal Romance Author Beth Trissel

Excerpt:

Snow built castles on the windowsills.  Wispy flakes swirled in the night air.  I stood at the mullioned window with my back to the Chief Councilor of the ruling body of the Vampyre.  The pure white silence of a snowy night echoed in the room.  A fire crackled in the fireplace, but cold seeped through the stone walls.

At midnight, Lucien St. Albans had arrived with shocking news.

Royal Oak wasn’t on the beaten path.  The castle perched on a hill above a small village on the Devon coast.  From my bedroom window, I could see the ocean.  Lucien had driven his new motorcar hard to tell me that there was no such thing as forever.  He was pale and drawn, worried.  I’d never seen the Chief Councilor rattled.  Lucien St. Alban’s self control was legendary.  The emotion in his black eyes was fear, and a shudder chased over me.

“I drove straight from an emergency meeting of Les Elus,” he announced without preamble.  “We are all in jeopardy.”

In a small principality between France and Spain, an epidemic of anthrax ravaged the countryside.  Not only human villagers died in Andorra.  Two vampires had perished.

Grief for Daphne and guilt for her suicide had wearied my spirit.  “Why send me?  I’m not a scientist.”

“Dear God, Morgan, I wouldn’t send you into danger.”  Behind me, Lucien’s reflection appeared in the window.  He rested his hands on my shoulders.  “One of our scientists plans to travel to Andorra immediately and investigate.   He believes the bacteria secretes an endotoxin that is a reverse mutagen.  When infected, the disease progresses at a phenomenal rate.  The victim reverts to mortal, and the body disintegrates to ash.”

A thrill pierced my lethargy.  Dead vampires presented an intriguing mystery.  Members of our select society should not perish to a disease fatal to humans, or very few others of the Grim Reaper’s tricks.  It was time for me to stop lurking in Death’s shadow.  My grief for Daphne was useless to her corpse.  She was quite simply and forever gone.  Reverse mutagen.  The mere idea sent a shiver of excitement over me.  If the Vampyre Effect could be undone, then the possibility of returning to human existed.

Lynn Shurr with Paradise for a Sinner, Contemporary Novel

The best cure for a lost love is a new love.

Fun Fact: When I first thought of writing a book about a Samoan football player, I figured big, hunky guy,  hot steamy nights–until I discovered Samoans are religiously conservative and very family-oriented. My new theme became Adam Malala’s conflict with tradition ways and his life as a rich and famous athelete. Don’t worry. There are still some hot, steamy nights in the plot.

Liz Flaherty with THE GIRLS OF TONSIL LAKE, Women’s Fiction Novel

Four women whose differences only deepen the friendship forged in a needy childhood…

Fun Fact: I wrote The Girls’ story because I love girlfriend books and because all four of them presented themselves to me, personalities intact. It was so much fun. Jean’s a romance author and pretty much wrote her own story, Suzanne is based on one of my best friends (who recognized herself right off the bat and still talks to me), and Andie is closely related to my sister-in-law Lynn. The fourth friend, Vin, was–and still is, to a certain degree–a woman of mystery simply because I don’t know anyone like her. But I like her. I like her a lot.

Karilyn Bentley with Dragon Lover, Fantasy romance, novel,

When opposing dreams collide, will love be the victor?

Fun Fact: Dragon Lover is the third book in the Draconia Tales series and wraps up the trilogy. I enjoyed writing this story and letting the readers know the true identity of Fafnir, the hero. He’s first introduced in Magical Lover and returns in Warrior Lover. In Dragon Lover we learn who his mate is and why they spent their lives running from each other.

The Brawny Man, Green Giant, Mr. Clean,

Me (Alicia Dean). Author of DEATH NOTICE – A killer is using her obituary column to forecast his kills.

Want: Jolly Green Giant. Well, I love vegetables, he’s jolly, and he’s giant, so I’m sure he’d be a blast to hang out with…and tons of fun in the sack.

Wed: Mr. Clean – I’m sure he’d clean my house, and that makes him win for husband material, hands down.  I can’t think of another reason why I would even need a husband, so he may be my ultimate fantasy man now that I think about it.

Waste: Brawny Man. He’s too outdoorsy, and I’m an inside kind of gal. I want to just chill inside, in my clean house, after I’ve had a romp with JGG (That’s my nickname for my lover, Jolly Green Giant).

***********************

Kae Elle Wheeler, http://kathylwheeler.com The Wronged Princess – book i,  new and revised!

Want: The Brawny Man is strong, outdoorsy. But does he clean house?

Wed: Mr. Clean is hot. And Clean. I could do him. Plus, he cleans house. He’s a keeper.

Waste: The Green Giant, is green and I hate peas. That’s what I think of. Have to waste him.

**********************

Juli D. Revezzo,  author of  Drawing Down the ShadesBusiness can be hell… Website: http://julidrevezzo.com/

I’ll take the Brawny man for the win…Errr, I mean the Want, Mr. Clean for the Wed (because, hey, he’ll clean my house!) and the …oh, shoot. Do I have to waste the Green Giant? Okay, we’ll use him for fertilizer in the garden. 😉

**********************

Layla Chase is one of the contributing authors to Cowboy Heat, an erotic anthology of cowboy-themed short stories, released by Cleis Press.    www.laylachase.com

Want—The Brawny Man—who doesn’t love a man in plaid flannel? I spent 3 years in Oregon and saw lots of plaid flannel shirts and even attended a lumberjack competition on July 4th and rain fell!

Wed—The Jolly Green Giant—I picked him as husband material because with all his contacts with the growers, he’d be a good provider.

Waste—Mr. Clean—shaved heads are just not my thing. I fail to see how this style is sexy at all.

**********************

SILVER JAMES, author of THAT OL’ BLACK MAGIC (Werewolves, Fae, and Dragons, oh my! What’s Sade Marquis, a human FBI agent, to do? Solve the crime, of course.), BOOK LINK: ), Website: http://www.silverjames.com

Want: The Brawny Man. I mean, who doesn’t love a man in flannel with muscles? And he’s a lumberjack. He knows how to take care of his wood.

Wed: Mr. Clean. Hellooooo! The man does housework! What’s not to love? Plus, I think he’s way sexy. (PS, I happen to know his human model — a Norman fireman. *nods* Really!)

Waste: The Green Giant. Okay, size might matter but the dude is green! He clashes with my decor. And I’m not big on veggies.

**********************

M.J. Schiller, author of THE HEART TEACHES BEST, Website:

www.mjschillerauthor.blogspot.com

Want: Mr. Clean- he’s muscular and has an attractive self-confidence. You can tell by the way he stands there with his arms crossed. But I HATE cleaning, so I wouldn’t keep him around long.

Wed: The Brawny Man- I always thought he was hot. Kind of in a Tom Selleck way. Plus, if we needed firewood, he’d be all over that.

Waste: The Jolly Green Giant- I’m not big on vegetables.

**********************

Now we’d like to hear from you….which of these Hunky Ad Men would you Want, Wed, and Waste?

Thanks for playing!

Wednesday’s Want, Wed, Waste: French Actors

Hello and welcome to my version of the game, ‘F*@#’, Marry, Kill. This week we are WWW’ing French Actors.

Myself and some of my friends are sharing our Want, Wed, and Waste choices from this week’s list:

Gilles Marini, Benjamin Millepied, Olivier Martinez

Me (Alicia Dean). Author of DEATH NOTICE (Northland Crime Chronicles, Book 1)  – A killer has something to say, and he’s using her obituary column to get his point across…

(I don’t know these actors, so I’m going by what little I do know, and the superficial ‘looks’ thing. :))

Want: Benjamin Millepied – He’s gorgeous, and although he’s a ballet dancer, he’s very masculine. He’s confident and sexy, he has some kind of charisma about him that’s irresistible. And, how cool would it be to have a fling with Natalie Portman’s husband?

Wed: Gilles Marini – I’m not sure what kind of husband material he’d be, but who cares? Have you SEEN this guy? YUMMMM

Waste: Olivier Martinez –  He just doesn’t do it for me, although I haven’t seen him in anything other than photos. (That I recall). I don’t like those squinty eyes. (Let’s face it, he doesn’t have that sexy, badA$$ Clint Eastwood squint. He just has really tiny eyes)

**********************

SILVER JAMES, author of THAT OL’ BLACK MAGIC  Werewolves, Fae, and Dragons, oh my! What’s Sade Marquis, a human FBI agent, to do? Solve the crime, of course. Website: http:/www.silverjames.com

Want: Benjamin Millepied. He’s a dancer. And choreographer. That means he has moves. And stamina. 😉 Oh, and he’s pretty darn easy on the eyes, too! And did I mention that he’s limber? Just sayin’… 😀

Wed: Gilles Marini. He’s a dancer, too, but not professionally. When he took his shirt off for the tango during Dancing With the Stars, I was a goner. I swooned. No, really. Swooned, I tell you! He’s sooo darn sexy that he could be a lover and a husband. But…I wouldn’t want to wear him out so Benjamin can come visit.

Waste: Olivier Martinez. Sorry, dude. You just don’t do it for me. You might be all about the “Revenge” but I’m a lover, not a fighter. Most of the time. 😉

*******************

Layla Chase, author of Up And Coming, an erotic romance that features a Latin hero who seduces with his dancing ability.  Website:  www.laylachase.com

Want—Olivier Martinez—those intense looks he gave Diane Lane in the movie Unfaithful were scorching and the love scenes were combustible.

Wed—Gilles Marini—I have a secret fantasy over guys who are accomplished dancers and often include a sexy dance scene in my erotic titles.

Waste—Benjamin Millepied—can’t deny that I think there’s something a wee bit creepy about romances that occur while a movie (Black Swan) is in production.

Want: Olivier Martinez. Not only is he gorgeous, he’s charming and has a cute sense of humor. I watched some interviews at YouTube, and he said that, as an actor, he’s the “shame” of his family of boxers and mechanics. LOL. This Sunday Olivier is starting a multi-episode arc on REVENGE, and I’m looking forward to watching.

Wed: Gilles Marini. Another handsome, charming Frenchman. Gilles isn’t just a good actor, he can dance and cook, too. Perfect marriage material, methinks. I enjoyed his stint on Brothers and Sisters as Rachel Griffiths French lover.

Waste: Benjamin Millepied. I hate to have to do this. Benjamin is an incredible ballet dancer, and I do love the ballet. But I could only find one movie he was in, BLACK SWAN, and he had such a small role, I didn’t even realize who he played until I got to the credits. Apparently his main job was choreographer and he did a fabulous job. But I fell in love with the film, not the actor. If you haven’t seen it, the movie is terrific, suspenseful and visually beautiful. Natalie Portman deserved her best actress Oscar.

Thanks for playing!

Wednesday’s (Thursday’s) Want, Wed, Waste: Supernatural TV Hunks

Hello and welcome to my version of the game, ‘F*@#’, Marry, Kill. This week we are WWW’ing the hot guys from CW’s Supernatural.

Myself and some of my friends are sharing our Want, Wed, and Waste choices from this week’s list:

Misha Collins as Castiel – Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester – Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester

Me (Alicia Dean). Author of DEATH NOTICE (Northland Crime Chronicles, Book 1)  – A killer has something to say, and he’s using her obituary column to get his point across…

(I don’t watch this show, so I’m going to go by my impressions)

Want: Jensen Ackles -He’s a hottie, for sure, but he seems to have an attitude that would be hard to take on a regular basis. (The actor, not the character). I’m not sure why I get that vibe, but I do. So, I would have to ‘want’ him then toss him.

Wed: Misha Collins – There’s something very sexy about him. I’m really drawn to him even though I’ve never seen him in action. And, come on, how cool would it be to marry an angel? .

Waste: Jared whats-his-name – You are outta here! Something about him rubs me the wrong way. He’s not as hot as everyone lets on and I don’t like his stringy hair, especially when it’s down in his face. How many enemies did I just make? 🙂

M.J. Schiller, author of THE HEART TEACHES BEST Murder may be her final lesson. Website: www.mjschillerauthor.blogspot.com

M.J. is offering a free ebook of The Heart Teaches Best to one lucky commenter!

Want: All of them! But if I have to pick, Sam (Jared Padalecki). “Moose,” as they call him on the show, is one good-looking guy! Tall, and all that hair! But as for marrying, I know he kills a lot of bad guys on the show, but I still think he’s too much of a softy for me.

Wed: Dean (Jensen Ackles). Now I’m not usually into pretty boys. I tend to like guys who are sexy, but not picture-perfect. Dean is the exception, and man what an exception! The man positively makes me drool! Then add his personality to the mix, hot and funny. Yes, sir! I’ll take that! He could protect me from any sort of supernatural creature, he has a nice ride, and we’d laugh for hours on end…when we weren’t doing other things. Yes, Mrs. Ackles has a nice ring to it…if only there wasn’t one already…

Waste: Castiel. Did you really just make me kill an angel, Alicia Dean? Although I thoroughly enjoy watching him on the show, I’m not really turned on by him. Sorry. And being an angel, he may not get me. Yep, give me, Dean.  …NOW please!

Want: Sam, (such a sweet guy, plus, he used to be on Gilmore Girls. :))

Wed: Casiel (Because he’s an angel. can you imagine what life would be like with him?)

Waste: Dean (because, well…*ducks* He seems a bit stuck up, plus, there’s the little thing about that *spoiler alert* contract over his head…. 😉

Wednesday’s Want, Wed, Waste: Downton Abbey, North and South, Mad Men

Hello and welcome to my version of the game, ‘F*@#’, Marry, Kill. This week we are WWW’ing men in period drama roles. WARNING: Spoilers if you’re not caught up on the shows.

Myself and some of my friends are sharing our Want, Wed, and Waste choices from this week’s list:

Richard Armitage as John Thornton in North and South (BBC) – Dan Stevens as Matthew Crawley in Downton Abbey – Jon Hamm as Don Draper in Mad Men

Me (Alicia Dean). Author of DEATH NOTICE (Northland Crime Chronicles, Book 1)  – A killer has something to say, and he’s using her obituary column to get his point across…

(I don’t watch any of these shows, shame on me, so I’m going by looks and what the other ladies have said)

Want: Matthew Crawley – He’s very young-looking (but from my past choices, apparently, I’m into young guys), but he’s also freakin’ hot! Love those blue eyes. He seems like the kind of guy who would make you swoon.

Wed: John Thornton – I’m sold with the English accent and the intensity. I like the way he looks, too…very sexy. I really MUST check out that show.

Waste: Don Draper – I think I would like this show, I love the era of the 50’s, but I’ve never watched it. However, I think Jon Hamm is overrated. I hear women raving about how gorgeous and sexy he is, but I don’t see it. I might if I watched Mad Men, but since I don’t, he drew the short straw.

**********************

Jill Hughey writes historical romance and absolutely adores most period drama. Vain, the third book in her series set in Charlemagne’s Empire, features a hero she refers to as a medieval metrosexual (he likes clothes) and his tailor’s daughter, the closest thing to a haute couture designer he will ever meet. Vain is available at Amazon and most ebook vendors.

WANT: If I could pick Richard Armitage twice, I would, but Alicia has her rules! So, I’ll pick Dan Stevens as Matthew Crawley, though I’d like to request that he dress in a Downton Abbey costume, we meet in a period-correct setting, and he looks at me longingly with those beautiful blue eyes.

WED: Richard Armitage. Richard Armitage. Richard Armitage as John Thornton in North and South. I am such a North and South addict that I wrote a free serial sequel that starts here. http://jillhughey.blogspot.com/2014/01/chapter-1-becoming-mrs-thornton.html Anyway, about Richard Armitage. His voice. The study he brings to his roles. His sharp good looks. His intensity. His voice. His eyes. Did I mention his lovely deep voice? If he said, “Will you put toilet paper on the grocery list?” I would probably swoon and say, “Right after you take me back to the bedroom, darling.”

WASTE: Jon Hamm as Don Draper. I realize that the 1950s are a period and that Mad Men is a drama, but it is one century too recent to be of interest to me. Darn it, now I have to go watch the last ten minutes of North and South again!

Lyndi Lamont, author of “How To Woo… A Reluctant Bride” steamy Victorian romance, ONLY 99¢!!! Website: http://www.lyndilamont.com

Lyndi is offering a free ebook copy of How to Woo…A Reluctant Bride to one lucky commenter!

Want: Don Draper of Mad Men – I’ve been a fan of Mad Men since it started, and against all common sense, I still want Don, if only because Jon Hamm is the most handsome man I’ve ever seen on the small screen. What a hunk! Don is a player and can be a real a jackass at times, but he’s not as chauvinistic as some of the men he works for. (After all, he recognized Peggy’s abilities and promoted her from secretary to copy writer.) He’s terrible husband material, good for the short haul only. But, oh, what a fun ride it would be!

Wed: Matthew Crawley of Downton Abbey – Big sigh. Matthew comes as close to being the perfect man as anyone could wish. He’s handsome, honorable and kind, if at times a bit too proud and stubborn. He would have been good marriage prospect even if he weren’t heir to an earldom. His love made Lady Mary a better person.

Waste: John Thornton of North and South – This was hard, in part because I haven’t had a chance to see the entire mini-series yet, just the first half, and because I think he’s an honorable man in his own way. But I’d have to waste him for the mother-in-law-from-hell factor, if nothing else. Not to mention the snotty sister. Seriously, would you want to marry into that family? And John doesn’t seem like the type to engage in a lighthearted fling. I do think he’d make a good husband, just not my cup of tea. (Besides, I was raised by two union members, so it would be like consorting with the enemy!)

*************************

Andrea R. Cooper – fantasy/ paranormal and historical romance author. Viking Fire – historical romance w/ a touch of magic

Want: Richard Armitage as John Thornton – What can I say, except he makes my giddy. It would be interesting to hear all about anything he had to say with that natural English accent. Sigh.

Wed:  Matthew Crawley on Downton Abbey – Also with an English accent 😉 And his coloring reminds me of my husband a bit. Is it hot in here?

Waste:  Jon Hamm as Don Draper in Mad Men – Sad to say, out of all three of these, he doesn’t appeal to me at least not in the Want or Wed.
