Good morning and Happy Tuesday!!
Authors, share your books and feel free to chat about them, or chat about other authors’ books. (Each week the location of the lines I request will change. You may share info from the same book each week, or you can choose a different one.)
Readers, enjoy the tidbits and such, feel free to comment…like…follow…buy, etc.
WARNING: Some content might be graphic and/or offensive to some
It’s simple to join in… Authors, choose any of your books (one book per author per week, please), and share the following in the comments:
- Title and genre
- From any page that ends with the digit five, such as 5, 15, 25, 35, etc. (any version, Word Doc, Print, Kindle, etc), from the ninth line, share two sentences. (You can choose to share sentences that comes before or after, if part of the sentence is on the chosen line-see example below)
- Share a fun or interesting fact about the book, the characters, the setting, etc.
- List ONE buy link
- List your Twitter and FB Fan/Author pages so everyone can like/follow
- Optional – List the price of your book, especially if it’s on sale!
Example – For the below, if I were choosing the second line, I would use the entire sentence, the words before and after for this line: ‘…a red torrent, draining my life as I screamed in…’
If I were using line 5, I could either use the ‘Where had that come from’ line or the ‘For such a’ line, and I would use an entire sentence.
Don’t worry that the line might not be all that engaging, or that it might not make much sense. This is all for fun and to share a glimpse of you and your stories. I’ll be sharing one of my books in the comments so you can see how it’s done. 😀
A new post with a new location goes up every Tuesday…have fun!

End of Lonely Street – 1950’s Vintage Romance Short Story
Lines: He ignored her and carried her to his car. He opened the back door with the hand that held the sign and plopped her down on the back seat.
Fact: Obviously, set in the 50’s, this story has a strong Elvis Presley theme, and of course, the title is a line from Heartbreak Hotel. I also had a little fun with character names. My hero’s last name is ‘Rivers’ which was Elvis’ character’s last name in “Loving You.” I chose my heroine’s name ‘Toby’ when I saw it in the credits of “Leave it to Beaver” for one of the actresses, and the beloved teacher in the story, Ms. Murdock, was named after a teacher I had in the fifth grade, who I adored.

The Case of the Meddling Mama – PI mystery
“He wants to talk to you. Are you two-timing my son?” Another death stare.
Fact: The Alex O’Hara series takes place in a fictional Lake Michigan resort town similar to the one I live in. As much as we like visitors (great for the economy), traffic does cause problems. I’m learning all kinds of workarounds to get where I need to go.

This game is a terrific idea. Plan to read them all.
Whoops. I misspelled pheromones. And there’s even a joke about the ‘mones.’ Sorry.
