I love the title and premise of this story. Can’t wait to read it. I also love the answers to Maureen’s ’10 Moments that Changed My Life.’ Check it out… (and isn’t it an adorable cover?)
Grandma Must Die
A Touch of Magic Series Volume 1
Maureen L. Bonatch
She’s a witch hunting a spell. He’s hunting witches and falling for her.
Blurb:
Carman has worn out more towns and last names than impractical shoes protecting the secret of her magic blood. But when a friend goes missing, and another is infected with a deadly spell, Carman must choose. Expose her magic blood by curing the spell—or stop the infection from spreading by killing the source…the grandmother.
Magic bounty hunter Dylan has scoured libraries of banned magic paraphernalia seeking a method to distinguish genuine witches from impersonators. He suspects unorthodox librarian Carman might hold this information tighter than the hair he’s dying to unleash from her bun. With a past as hidden as his sleeve of tattoos, Dylan discovers he’s been used to gain Carman’s trust and their passion risks more than mixing mortals and magic.
Excerpt
…once she’d started Carman couldn’t stop,
the book beckoned. Pressing its spine against her palm, begging her to search within the pages to find the answers she’d unconsciously sought her entire life. As she lifted the book, her scalp tingled and her hair elevated like a halo.
“Whoa.” Dylan shielded himself with his hands. “Put it back, slowly, because this is reminding me too much of the incident with the chest. Having my apartment blown up from magic isn’t covered in my rent.”
The plastic evaporated in a puff of smoke in Carman’s hands and the book unsealed with a sigh. She smiled, the welcoming warmth emanating from within its pages against her palms. Why had Mother kept her from this? This is what she’d been waiting for.
As curiosity overtook his common sense, she detected Dylan’s cautious approach. He stood close enough to peer over her shoulder into her book, but far enough away to avoid touching her.
After the shockwave the last time their skin met, he probably worried he’d ruin another pair of pants. Carman closed her eyes, absorbing the power from the book. The delicious feeling evoked a sensation like melting chocolate, sweet and satisfying.
“I remember hearing about her, Esmeralda Wrath. I wonder if this was her book?” Dylan’s warm breath caressed her shoulder.
Carman opened her eyes and examined the page. To stare right at a photo of the most powerful witch of all time…her grandmother.
Ten Moments that Changed My Life
This was a challenging task. I could easily rattle off events occurring in my lifetime that rocked the world. I could dissect the many moments in my writing career that devastated or inspired me. Instead I chose to reflect upon little things that changed me and/or my outlook on the world.
So tell me, what little thing changed your life in a big way?
Prize: One free ecopy of Grandma Must Die from a random comment drawn by Alicia Dean on October 7, 2015 (release day)
Bio:
Penning stories boasting laughter, light suspense and something magical in the hope of sharing her love of finding the extraordinary in the ordinary world.

In today’s society many, if not most, celebrities are extremely vocal about their political views. Sometimes, annoyingly so. Elvis, however, managed to keep his political views private. He only wanted to entertain and refused to be drawn into controversial topics, such as politics. Here is a brief excerpt from a 1972 Madison Square Garden interview:
Q: Mr Presley, as you’ve mentioned your time in the service, what is your opinion of war protesters and would you today refuse to be drafted?
Elvis: Honey, I’d just sooner keep my own personal views about that to myself cause I’m just an entertainer and I’d rather not say.
Q: Do you think other entertainers should refuse to be drafted?
Elvis: No, I can’t even say that.
Side note: A few days ago on Elvis radio, I heard a brief clip from a concert where Elvis was about to sing ‘Just Pretend.’ He said it was a new song coming out, and something to the effect of, ‘It will be released in…January, 1979.’ 😦 He had no idea he wouldn’t live to see January, 1979. That really struck a cord with me, made me a bit emotional. Just thought I’d share.
Back to Elvis and politics… Elvis got his start in the 50’s, just after the McCarthy hearings which landed a lot of celebrities in trouble. I’m sure he felt it best to remain cautious and private about his views. Some of his close friends claim he was conservative. That may be true. Regardless, I respect him for keeping that part of his life separate. He did it quite successfully, too. Sure, he accepted an award from President Nixon, and he was friends with then Governor of Georgia, Jimmy Carter, but neither of those speak to his political affiliation. Some of my close friends don’t share my views. (We can’t all be right, now can we? :))
In the below article from 1956, Barton Hickman slams Elvis and calls him stupid for not knowing what was going on. Elvis was only 21 years old at the time. His career was exploding and his life was a whirlwind. He simply didn’t have time or interest in news of current events. Elvis, however, was quite intelligent and in the years following, would become a voracious reader thirsty for knowledge.
In a World Of His Own
By Barton Hickman
Don´t think Elvis Presley is just putting on an act.
He really is that “stupid” about what´s going on in the world.
Last week the Andrea Doria sank in the worst sea disaster since the Titanic went down 40 years ago. Presley never heard of the Andrea Doria.
Last week Egypt´s Premier Nasser grabbed the Suez Canal in a move that could touch off World War III. Presley´s comment: Suez? Man, you´re talking French to me now.
Elvis Presley is 21, his draft status is 1-A, and world events are racing to a possible climax. Yet he is not aware of them.
In a round-robin interview with my colleagues, Elvis engaged in animated conversation as long as the subject was rock-and-roll music or sex in its many xxxxxties. But whenever I asked a question his face fell, he turned with a blank stare and an artless reply.
Elvis Presley shows somewhat less than mastery of the double-entendre – or any other conversational gambit. The Democratic National Convention opens in little more than a week. Does Presley think Stevenson is sure to be nominated because of Kefauver´s withdrawel?
“Well. . . maybe. I keep pretty busy. I don´t hardly ever get a chance to read the newspapers any more.”
About the Stockholm Andrea Doria sea disaster.
“Well, all I heard was there was a boat wreck. . .” Do you know which boat went down?
“No sir.”
MAYBE WE can get the conversation on other ground. You´re interested in clothes. (He was wearing narrow-ankle trousers, black flecked with silver, and a solid color sports jacket in a very bright shade of rose wine.) What do you think about the new Empire waistline?
“Empire waistline? Let´s see, ahh. . . What does that mean? Is it a tight waistline?”
WELL, maybe we ought to get over into your field. How about music?
“Oh, I like Music. I like all kinds of music.”
How about instrumentalists?
You play the guitar yourself.
What do you think of Pablo Casals, the world´s greatest cellist?
“Xxxxxx xxx xxxxx never heard of him. . . Ah, well, you see, I really don´t play the guitar. I just sort of beat it.”
I see. But you like all kinds of music. How about the classics? What are your favorites?
“Well, I like Kathryn Grayson, and there´s Mario Lanza.”
Ah, what I meant was, among the classics, what for instance is your favorite operatic work?
“Oh. “Only Make-Believe” is my favorite.”
A few of his fans think his disregard for life´s other details beyond sex and rhythm is just a hilarious act dreamed up by his press agent.
Believe me, it isn´t. Nobody could act that well.
You know, articles like this don’t even make me angry. I find it interesting the way Elvis was constantly slammed in the media in his early years, yet he kept going, kept performing, and attained success that no other artist had before, or since, or ever will. Yes, he focused on what he did best–entertaining. And he certainly, indisputably, mastered that.

Elvis was known for his giving heart and charitable work during his lifetime. Lisa Marie and Elvis Presley Enterprises have continued that tradition with their involvement in various charities. In 1984, The Elvis Charitable Foundation was formed. The EPCF created a scholarship fund for students majoring in the arts. The charity also contributes to one of Elvis’ favorite charities, Goodwill Homes, a Memphis facility that provides counseling and services for abused children and their families. The EPCF also assists numerous other charities, especially focusing on arts, education and children’s programs.

END OF LONELY STREET – Now Only 99 Cents!
On Elvis’ birthday this year, I released a Vintage Romance short story set in 1957, and of course, my heroine is an Elvis fan. 🙂 As a tribute to Elvis’ generosity, and in order to assist with this worthy cause, 10% of my proceeds for End of Lonely Street will go to the EPCF.
All Toby Lawson wants is to go to college to become a teacher and to be free of her alcoholic mother and some painful memories. But when her mother nearly burns the house down, Toby must put her dreams on hold and return home to care for her. The only time she isn’t lonely and miserable is when she’s listening to her heartthrob, Elvis Presley. His music takes her away and helps her escape from everything wrong in her life.
Noah Rivers has always loved Toby, but no matter what he says, she can‘t get past the fact that her drunken mother once kissed him. He soon realizes the true problem lies in Toby’s belief she’s not good enough for him and in her fear she will be just like her mother.
What will it take to prove to her that she deserves to be happy, and that he would give anything to be the man to make her dreams come true?

When a jaded sheriff is drawn to an exasperating woman in trouble, anything can happen
Laurel Thomas has always experienced life from the outside looking in. She likes the warm welcome she’s received in Tidal Falls and wants to make a home in this friendly little town, far away from her egocentric family. But then her uncle arrives and she learns the past has a way of catching up to her.
Jack Garrett is satisfied with his uncomplicated life. He has a good job as the sheriff of his hometown, a nice home, and a beautiful teenage daughter. So why is he struggling against his attraction for the disorganized new hire at the department, Laurel Thomas? She threatens everything he’s worked so hard to avoid—like falling in love.
Can two people with enough emotional baggage to sink a ship find a way to give each other a chance, or is this match doomed to drown?
Excerpt:
Jack hesitated with his hand fisted to knock on Laurel’s pumpkin-colored door. His aunt had this thing about brightly painted doors being good luck, or some such hogwash. The murmur of a voice from within told him Laurel had company. Male company. He tapped the file in his other hand against his thigh and glared a hole through the door.
“Guess it can wait ’til morning,” he grumbled, turning to step gingerly down the snow-covered stairs. Whoever-the-asshat-was, he could have at least shoveled them off for her. Just as he reached the sidewalk an angry shout coming from inside the house startled him. Jack grabbed for his service revolver and jumped for the door. He missed the stairs entirely and dropped the file, allowing it to fall unheeded into the snowbank. The papers from within tobogganed down the slope.
He rammed a fist against the wood. “Sheriff’s department, open the door.” His heart thundered in his chest and there was a ringing in his ears. Was he having a frigging heart attack for crying out loud? He’d never reacted like this before, not even when he’d chased after a murderer a few months ago. But the thought of someone hurting…
“Laur…el,” he shouted, panic clawing the back of his throat. Jack tried the knob but it was locked. He took a step back, angled himself sideways, and prepared to slam his shoulder into the wood. He started forward, slipping a little on the icy deck boards. Good thing, because it slowed him down just enough to narrowly avoid ploughing Laurel over when she pulled the door open.
“Hello?”
When she saw him barrelling toward her with a gun in hand her beautiful eyes took over her face. “Yee…ahh,” she cried, tumbling backward and smacking her head against the now swinging door.
Fuuuck.
Jack tried backpedalling, but the slippery footing beneath his cowboy boots—dumb choice of footwear—had him sailing right into her already off-balanced body.
“Laurel, holy shit.” His hand reached out to grip her shoulder, conscious of the soft womanly feel of her plastered against his rapidly hardening body. Great. “I’m sorry, honey. Are you okay?”

INTERVIEW:
What inspired your latest book?
I’ve wanted to write a holiday romance for some time now and with the Christmas season fast approaching within my series, Wounded Hearts, it seemed like a perfect fit.
What is your typical day like?
First things, first; Coffee 🙂
Then I usually open my blog, check for comments that need answering, do the SM trail, and end with my emails. That takes up most of my day, then it’s family time. Around nine or ten at night the house gets quiet and I can work on my newest project, a paranormal romance. I do that until midnight or so, go to bed, read a couple of chapters, and start the whole process over the next day. I know, exciting hey?
How much time do you spend promoting your books? What works best for you?
Probably not as much as I should be, it’s hard to promote without making people tune you out. You need to be inventive. Meme’s are great and easy to set up; I use Canva.com for mine. Paying for ads can help, just don’t let it eat up all of your budget; a couple that I’ve found good are Choosey Bookworm and The Ereader Cafe
Other than that I think it’s key to make friends with likeminded writers. There’s nothing better than having a large group of supporters guarding your back.
How has your experience with self-publishing been?
I’m happy I decided to go the self-publishing route. It’s enabled me to be my own boss. That being said, there’s no one else to blame if I don’t succeed. There’s a lot of work involved in becoming an indie author. And that’s after writing the best novel the world’s ever seen. You need to be willing to take on all aspects of the business, because that is what being self-pubbed is; a business. From cover design, to formatting and uploading, to book-keeping and promoting. Writing is a full-time job.
Do you have critique partners?
Yes, I do. Critique partners are crucial to the writing process. They are your beta readers, editors, critics, and biggest supporters all rolled up into one neat package. I belong to a fantastic group called Lethal Ladies, which is a part of RWA’s Kiss of Death chapter-specializing in the romantic suspense genre. I also belong to a group of four wonderful ladies from my local group, Vancouver Island Romance Writers, who I cherish for their kindness and generosity.
Give us an elevator pitch for your book.

What genres are you drawn to as a reader?
I generally look to romantic suspense novels for my reading pleasure. I like the tension and the fight to overcome evil that is the mark of a good suspense book. The hero/heroine have to fight tremendous odds to get their happy ever after. It makes the reader gain empathy and keeps those pages turning 🙂

Watch out Southern California! There’s a new entertainment attorney in town and she’s got game. Only problem is, it’s not the one she should be playing. Corrie Locke belongs behind a desk, not behind a Glock. She should be taking VIP calls, not nosing around a questionable suicide. Instead, she’s hot on the trail of a murderer. Luckily, she’s the daughter of a late, great private eye and she’s inherited his love of sleuthing…and illegal weaponry. It doesn’t help matters that her gene for caution is a recessive one. Corrie finds herself in the center of a murder case, unearthing suspects in shocking places. With a cold-blooded killer on the loose, Corrie will have to up her game, or die trying.
Excerpt:
I veered out of the parking lot and bounced onto the cavity-ridden dirt road. The mystery car appeared out of nowhere from beneath the tall pines, eclipsed by the darkness. Now it raced away somewhere ahead.
“Why didn’t we hear it start?” I asked James.
“It’s a hybrid.”
“We’re in a car chase with a Prius?” A car chase with a Porsche or Ferrari was respectable, but with a battery operated car? All bragging rights vanished.
I shifted into warp speed and surged downhill. Seconds later, we faced the hybrid’s rear bumper. The spot for the license plate sat empty.
“He’s not getting away,” I said.
The hybrid turned and launched up a hill, kicking up pebbles and a dusty haze. It fish-tailed and I nearly nipped it in the rear. I executed a sharp left and ran over something large. And lumpy.
“Stop,” James said.
I skidded to a halt, a cloud of dirt trapped in my headlights. The Prius escaped through an open gate and onto La Paz. My eyes cut to the rearview mirror. My tail-lights illuminated the road behind us in an eerie red glow. As I surveyed the scene, not a trace of saliva remained in my mouth.

And now, let’s get to know Lida…
1) Where did you get the idea for MURDER AND OTHER UNNATURAL DISASTERS?
I was seeking an escape hatch from my day job, a way to lighten things up. The hatch eluded me, until I carved one out using words and altered scenes from a former life. I’d gone from working a high-profit job in a movie studio to running a non-profit on a shoestring budget. I used the entertainment industry as the backdrop of my novel and inserted a strong, but conflicted heroine, some slightly insane minor characters, and a murder to really rouse things. Writing a mystery was a challenge, but so much fun! And that’s what I was going for: fun. I really enjoyed twisting and turning reality around, and figuring out what the crazy characters were going to do or say next.
2) Are there any tricks/habits you use when creating a story?
One of my aunts shared issues of a magazine with me: Point de Vue, a French publication featuring European royals. All very attractive, well dressed royals living colorful lives. I’d study the photos and create characters based on expressions, demeanor, and how I fancied they’d act, react, and interact. I wrote profiles for each and turned them into characters to populate my novel.
4) Do you have another occupation, other than writer?
I’m a lawyer, which works well because my day job has given me endless ideas and material for writing!
9) What’s your favorite book of all time and why? What’s your favorite childhood book?
I LOVE books, so it’s a challenge to whittle it down to one. Today, I’d say it’s Uncle Tom’s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe because she wrote it during a time when women were expected to do little more than run a household, and because this one small book made such a monumental impact.
My favorite childhood book is The Secret Garden – it contained mystery (who was crying at night and why the garden was a secret) and explored a multitude of themes like the power of positive thinking, which was highly appealing to my young mind. And I can’t resist happy endings!
10) What do you want readers to come away with after they read MURDER AND OTHER UNNATURAL DISASTERS?
I love films of the thirties and forties, especially those that give the viewer a little lift afterward. I hope that readers feel a small lift after reading my book. And if any part brings a smile to the face of a reader, I’ve been successful.
12) Would you rather have a bad review or no review?
I will not be ignored! So I’d have to say I’d rather have a bad review. Just hope it’s a thoughtful and constructive one or it would be like not getting a review at all.
15) What is your favorite quote?
In my spare time, I collect quotes, so again, it’s a challenge to name just one, so begging your pardon in advance, here are two that tie (you can pick the tiebreaker):
The happiness of one’s own heart alone cannot satisfy the soul; one must try to include, as necessary to one’s own happiness, the happiness of others. ~Paramahansa Yogananda
I think the mirror should be tilted slightly upward when it’s reflecting life–toward the cheerful, the tender, the compassionate, the brave, the funny, the encouraging, all those things. ~ Greer Garson
I enjoyed the interview, Lida…like you, I love old movies (as we’ve discussed), and I love the quote by Greer Garson.
Thank you so much for joining me today!

Blurb – Keeping a lid on all the paranormal beings inhabiting Washington D.C., is a daunting job. Bruce, a six hundred year old demon and the Territory Overlord of the Western Hemisphere, keeps his finger on the pulse of DC’s power players through the activities at his highly successful Wycked Hair Salon. His movie star good looks and body builder physique keeps his dance card full and the rumor mills running. Within these walls, his anonymity is safe, mostly.
Bruce’s world spins out of control when Angelique, a pint size, gorgeous witch, with an attitude breezes through the doors of his salon. She is the younger sister of Tristian, Bruce’s long time trusted enforcer, whose professional skills are second to none. Tristian is furious at the relationship between Bruce and Angelique, a dangerous situation. The undeniable attraction between demon and witch promises to tear apart both their professional and personal worlds.
Excerpt:
Suddenly, he felt the magic aura shirt and switched his attention to the front door. She breezed in, hair like spun gold flowing to her waist, with a seductive yet regal body and a sway to her hips that should be illegal even in DC. She wore a snug rose and cream colored sweater, cut low enough he could see the swells of her rounded breasts, tailored black slacks that fit her cute ass like a glove and four-inch spike heels. She paused in the center of the salon, wet from the sudden spring storm, and lowered the briefcase she’d used as an umbrella. Her sparkling violet eyes glanced up to the mezzanine where Bruce stood watching. Blatantly her gaze wandered over his well-muscled body, undressing him piece by piece, until he felt naked. He shook his head slightly and smoothed his shirt and slacks with his hand, just to make sure he was still wearing them.
And now, let’s get to know Tena…
Where did you get the idea for A Demon’s Witch?
My hair dresser, Jen, and I were discussing the strange things that happened in a hair salon. Then my husband and I were talking about the music industry, we’re both former DJ’s. A 1969 summer hit about a male hairdresser came up in conversation and I mused, “What if the hairdresser was an alpha male, Demon Overlord of the Western Hemisphere that owned a salon in Washington DC?” That’s how A Demon’s Witch was born.
Why did you choose this genre?
Because I think people read to be entertained and escape the real world for just a little while. I like creating a world with magic and paranormal creatures that will do and use anything to overcome all obstacles for their happily ever after.
Was there anything unusual, any anecdote about this book, the characters, title, process, etc, you’d like to share?
This book was National Novel Writing Contest project. The title, A Demon’s Witch, came to me in the middle of the night and when I woke up my husband to tell him I’d finally decided on a title, he was less than impressed.
What is the most difficult thing about writing a book?
Getting the characters to do what I want. Finally, I’ve learned to just tell their story and all is well.
What was the most difficult thing about this one in particular?
Not necessarily the most difficult, but most frustrating. Keeping Willow from stealing the spotlight. She is the heroine, Angie’s best friend. For some reason, she was a very strong secondary character. Maybe she wants her own book. LOL I truly enjoyed writing this book and was sad to see it end. I can’t wait to share it with everyone.
What’s the main thing that you could get rid of in your life that would give you more writing time?
Cleaning House. I love a clean house, but I hate doing it. It’s a time sink if you ask me.
What is one word you would use to describe yourself? Outgoing What is one word you think others might use to describe you? Headstrong
What’s your favorite book of all time and why?
Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. Because it is a tale of anything is possible. First Harry’s journey from mistreated boy to talented wizard and JK Rowling’s journey from rags to riches both bring home the point anything is possible.
What’s your favorite childhood book?
Trixie Beldon – The Red Trailer Mystery. I had all the Nancy Drew and Trixie Beldon Books growing up. Loved them all.
What do you want readers to come away with after they read A Demon’s Witch?
A feeling that anything is possible with love, family and friends.
What is your favorite quote?
“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, WOW what a ride!”
Your favorite…
Movie – Dirty Dancing
Music – Rock and Roll
Place you’ve visited – Monterey Bay Aquarium
Place you’d like to visit – Northeast in the Fall around Halloween. I absolutely love Halloween.
TV show from childhood – Dark Shadows
TV show from adulthood – Scorpion
Food – Pizza
Sports team – Denver Broncos
Now, I’d like to ask readers…What are you looking for when you pick up a book to read? What makes you decide to buy a certain book? How does it effect you, if you really enjoy it?
Thank you for joining me, Tena. I also LOVE Halloween. This is the perfect book to kick off the holiday season. Best of luck!

(Please forgive the re-post. I’ve been extremely busy and I’m afraid I did not compose a new post for this week.)
Elvis passed away so young, that it’s unimaginable to think of him as a grandfather. Lisa Marie was only nine years old when he died, but she is now forty-six. She’s been married four times. Her first marriage was to Danny Keough, with whom she had two children, Ryleigh and Benjamin. She was briefly married to Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage. She is now married to Michael Lockwood, and they have twin girls, born in 2008. The twins’ names are Harper Vivienne Ann and Finley Aaron Love. The ‘Ann’ is from Priscilla’s middle name. And, of course, Aaron was Elvis’ middle name, and Love was his mother’s middle name. I think it’s awesome that she gave her children those names, but I can’t help think it’s a little unfair to poor Harper that she gets Priscilla’s and Finley gets both Elvis’ and his beloved mother’s middle names. 🙂
*** Susan Coryell mentioned the ‘twin’ connection, and that is something I meant to briefly address in my post. As I’m sure everyone knows, Elvis was born a twin, but his brother, Jess Garon, died at birth. It’s pretty awesome that Elvis’ only child also gave birth to twins.
Perhaps not all that surprising, both Ryleigh and Benjamin are in show business. Ryleigh is a model and actress. I first discovered this (although I should have already known) when I saw her in a small role in Magic Mike, the quite memorable male stripper movie starring Channing Tatum. Did any of you see the movie? Do you remember Ryleigh?
Benjamin is a singer, and he is purported to have a record deal, although the record has not been released yet.
Both of them most definitely have that ‘Presley’ look. Can you see it?
I can just imagine how proud Elvis would be of them. He was a doting father, and he adored Lisa Marie. I am sure he would be just as enamored of his grandchildren, if not more so. How awesome would it be to see the four of them perform together?
I love that Lisa has respected her father’s name and that she’s proud of her legacy. I just hope Elvis’ grandchildren do the same. Their heritage is a special one, and they owe their looks and their talent to him. Hopefully, they realize and appreciate that.

Blurb:
Eight years ago, a naive Katie Crane ran from Ry and Jed, warned their brand of love would ruin her life. Now she’s all grown up and returning home with a better understanding of the BDSM lifestyle. After the betrayal she’s faced at her father’s hands, she worries she won’t be strong enough to submit to the men she gave her heart and virginity to at eighteen.
Jed Malloy and Ry McCade are surprised and thrilled by Katie’s return to Felton’s Creek. They’d been heartbroken after her departure and had turned to each other, embracing the BDSM lifestyle without her. Katie’s homecoming sparks hope and worry. Ry isn’t sure he can keep his dominant side under control, and Jed fears Katie will see him as less of a man by being a switch and Ry’s submissive.
Having Katie back could mean the beginning of everything they’ve ever wanted or the end to the only family they’ve ever known.
Excerpt: (WARNING – Explicit)
“Welcome home.” Jed’s breath skimmed her neck before his lips touched her skin.
“It’s been too damn long.” Ry didn’t hesitate, his mouth closing over hers.
Her heart pounded as Ry’s mouth devoured hers. Jed nipped at her skin with little bites where her neck and shoulder met and she let out a gasp, allowing Ry to slide his tongue past her lips.
Two sets of hands roamed over her body. Ry cupped her ass, pulling her against his hard cock. Jed teasing the underside of her breasts, making her nipples pebble while he pressed his equally hard erection against her ass.
“My turn.” The words barely registered before Ry released her lips. Strong fingers cupped her chin, her head turned, and Jed took her mouth. His lips were softer, but his kiss was as hard and demanding as Ry’s, but less urgent.
Two men, two different kisses. Her brain grappled with the way they tasted. Each different. Ry, metal and coffee, Jed, mint and the outdoors. Oh, God. They tasted the same as they had when she was eighteen.
Her body was melting between them. She curled one arm around Jed’s neck, and the other hand began caressing Ry’s chest. Her helplessness to resist these two men was starting again. And did she care? At the moment, no, but she’d come home knowing they weren’t going to play it safe, not this time.

Now, let’s get to know Marie…
Well, I had written a couple of books that had a one-time ménage scene in them and I began to think why not write a story with a committed ménage and see how that works.
I’ve written in erotic romance before. I chose the genre because I write Alpha males and erotic romance gives me the freedom to allow my men to be men without worrying about how politically correct it is.
This is the first time I’ve written a committed ménage book and a book that has some m/m in it. I’ve never written m/m and wasn’t planning to until the two male hero’s chimed up and said “Oh by the way, we play together so figure it out.”
That love comes in all shapes and sizes. As long as people love each other there is nothing wrong with their lifestyle.
Paranormal – I’ve had some paranormal ideas, but the world building scares me.
