A Character Blog for Without Mercy

I was tagged by Nora Snowdon in a blog hop and asked to answer questions about my current WIP (Work in Progress). So, here goes…

1) What is the name of your character?  Is he/she fictional or a historic person?

China Beckett, she’s fictional

2) When and where is the story set?

Present day, metro Oklahoma City

3) What should we know about him/her?

She’s a single mother, and her child’s father, a mercenary, was killed in Africa before he knew she was pregnant. She loves her daughter more than life itself

4) What is the main conflict? What messes up his/her life?

A group of mercenaries have taken over her life and are threatening to kill her daughter and the people they love.

5) What is the personal goal of the character?

To protect her daughter.

6) Is there a working title for this novel, and can we read more about it?

Without Mercy

7) When can we expect the book to be published?

Without Mercy Extra Large

I am tagging three of my author friends:

M.J. Schiller:

MJ is a lunch lady in the heart of Central Illinois. My gosh! Can you get more folksy than that? She met her husband at the University of Missouri-Columbia and now she has a nineteen-year-old (how did that happen?) and seventeen year old triplets! She loves to read, karaoke (where she can pretend she is a rock star) and spends WAY too much time on Facebook. She grew up in St. Louis and still has family there.

Diane Burton:

Diane Burton writes adventure stories and romance, in this world and beyond.
